Purpose built nursery and pre-school

Kingswell Buildings Ltd were brought into this project when the initial architect’s design was found to be significantly over budget.  We were able to maintain the same footprint by reorganising the layout to reduce corridors and provide a more logical flow from the babies room to the under 2 year old space, leading on to 3 – 4 years playroom and finally a reception classroom.

We were able to bring the development within the schools budget incorporating features such as underfloor heating, interactive whiteboards, vaulted ceiling, Velux roof lights, large sliding glass doors, external canopies and landscaping around the new building. We also were able to redevelop the main school entrance as part of our works. We provided a full service from design, agents for Planning Permission, Building Regulations, external works, new services to site through to the building complete ready for the school to move their excited young clients in.

30 Place Nursery

28 ft x 56 ft

This Nursery was specifically designed to meet our clients needs with facilities including an office, quiet room, children’s WC, WC, kitchen, store and main area for the children together with soft play area outside. We also fitted a small canopy over the entrance door to protect the parents and children whilst dropping off and collecting together with one to the rear to provide a covered play area.

Pre-school
Nursery

52 Place Nursery

30 ft x 72 ft

This nursery for 52 children had a very tight time line which we managed to finish within. A larger facility with additional toilets and a main area that can cater for the increased number of children. Canopies were fitted at the entrance and the exit to the outdoor play areas giving protection from the weather when required. Deeper windows were fitted to provide site lines for the children and give additional natural light. Acoustic panels were fitted across the ceiling to minimise noise reverberation in the large open vaulted areas.
